New and Improved Jar Jobs!
We have just added several new jar jobs! Jar Jobs are very versatile, hands-on activities because they can be assembled as-is with Velcro:
Assembled using only Velcro
They can be assembled into cookie sheet activities:
Assembled with magnetic strips
Also assembled as a cookie sheet activity
They can also be assembled into file folder games, if you choose. We just added several Jar Jobs for colors:
Students sort objects by color
We have also added Jar Jobs for the entire alphabet:
Students sort objects by beginning sound

For simple assembly instructions, see below.
Assembled As Is With Velcro:
1. Print the entire file.
2. Laminate the jars and sorting pieces and cut them out.
3. Attach one small piece of soft-sided Velcro to each jar, for each sorting piece that goes in it.
4. Attach one small piece of rough-sided Velcro to the back of each sorting piece.
5. Store in Ziplock bag.
Assembled into a Cookie Sheet Activity:
1. Print the entire file.
2. Laminate the jars and sorting pieces and cut them out.
3. Attach one tiny piece of magnetic strip to the back of each sorting piece. You do not have place any magnetic strips on the back of the jars.
5. Store in Ziplock bag.
Assembled into a File Folder Game:
1. Print the entire file.
2. Glue both jars to the interior of a file folder.
3. Laminate the file folder and sorting pieces.
4. Attach one small piece of soft-sided Velcro to each jar, for each sorting piece that goes in it.
5. Attach one small piece of rough-sided Velcro to the back of each sorting piece.
6. Store sorting pieces attached to the file folder game, or attach a ziplock bag to the file folder to store your pieces.
